Board of Directors

Community Living Georgina is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors that provides leadership and helps shape the direction of the services and support provided through the Association.  Consisting of parents, advocates and dedicated community members, the Board continues to be an exceptional source of support both in terms of their vision and in the unique attributes that directors bring to their position.

  • Public Relations and Fundraising Committee

Directors are formally elected at the Annual General Meeting and can expect to volunteer approximately 5 hours per month.

Iain Donnell

President

Iain has been a lawyer, graduating from Queen’s University, since 1990.  He joined the Board of Directors for Community Living Georgina in 2006.  As Board President, he has been a valued leader and contributor to the many individuals and programs supported through the Association.  Iain was awarded the QueenElizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, for his significant contributions to our communities.

Joan Zeszutek

Vice-President

Joan became a member of the Board of Directors in 2007.  With over 20 years experience as a Senior Accountant with Rogers Wireless as well as many years as a tax professional, Joan brings a wealth of information to the Association.  Her advocacy skills, leadership and support of Community Living events are truly valued.

Roy O’Leary

Roy as been a long-time member with the Board of Directors, joining in 2000.  Roy is currently Division Director with Investors Group in Newmarket  assisting Consultants to reach their full potential by facilitating a training program that is highly regarded in the Canadian financial services industry.  As Past-President of Community Living Ontario, Roy also brings a provincial awareness of issues and strategies related to developmental services.

As a mother of a child with a developmental disability, Stacey has become increasingly more involved with Community Living Georgina. She joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and enjoys being involved in some of the decision making processes that ensure the smooth operation of the Association. As a strong believer in volunteering within your community, Stacey takes great pleasure assisting other families, and volunteers her time to provide additional support with the various youth recreation programs and fundraising activities.

Deb Lewis

Deb has lived in the Town of Georgina for the past 35 years with her husband and 3 children. She has worked for TD Canada Trust for the past 36 years.  She joined the Board of Directors in 2006.

 

Gladys Chen See

Director

Gladys started her career in the health field and has twenty-seven years of experience within the Laboratory Services Branch of the Ontario Public Service- Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. When she retired, she founded Silver Linings Family Circle (SLFC), a non-profit organization that helps young adults with special needs. She presently serves as the President of SLFC. As a parent with a special needs child, Gladys brings personal lived experience to her role at Community Living Georgina and continues to advocate for those with developmental disabilities. She is also a grandmother of four.
